UFC 193 was an excellent event for the promotion, and that's putting it mildly. The stadium show in Melbourne, Australia will end up being one of the highest-drawing PPVs ever for the UFC, and they broke their attendance record as well.

Dave Meltzer of MMA Fighting reports that the PPV did an estimated 1 to 1.1 million buys, and that official attendance was 56.214. That puts it third or fourth all-time in PPV numbers, and breaks the attendance mark set at UFC 129 in Toronto, where they drew 55,724.

Even if Ronda choses to retire tomorrow, or comes back and loses her next 5 fights by first round knockout, it could never change the fact that she is a very special athlete who accomplished something that nobody could have ever dreamed of: a woman outdrawing the top men in a global sport. When has that ever happened before? Serena Williams maybe? But in a fight sport? If even 5 years ago you went on an MMA forum and said the UFC should start women's division because UFC card headlined by a women's fight could sell over 1m PPVs, people would laugh at you. You'd probably get banned for trolling.
