I liked his point on mystery as well and how it has gone from a positive to a negative quality and mystery is now associated with our fears due to all the fear pushing and propaganda being thrown at people from every direction.lmfao @ that cheeto analogy. Spot on.
Glad to hear there's another Saul Williams fan in here.Great share.
I really enjoy Saul Williams. His mind is absolutely vibrant and this was a good listen.
Right on. Yeah, those were some of his more well-known tracks for anyone who hasn't heard of him that might want an introduction.Thank you, my dude.
I'm well aware of those vids.
I haven't read any of his new work over the last few years but the dude was a big influence on me 15 years ago.
One of my all time favorite tracks is Monkey Theme from the Infesticons album. I played that thing on repeat for like two months after I first heard it.
Yep, that's how I got into his work as well. Big-time Sage fan. I've seen him perform a few times and even ended up making a music video for his boy B Dolan, who's also pretty awesome.I'm familiar with Buddy Wakefield but not much.
I first heard of him from Sage Francis a while back. I'll check those videos out. Thanks.
I was just getting into video production and I borrowed a friend of mine's camera for a couple days to shoot that. Was one of the very first videos I ever did and only made it to get familiar with shit. Then I sent it to him and he made it an official video and was super cool about everything. Talked to him quite a bit more and we've talked about making some more videos as well.Word/ I'm a b dolan fan as well.
What video of his did you make?/
Cool, good to see there's another underground hip hop head in the midst. You anticipating Aesop's new album? I think he's supposed to announce the release date tomorrow. I'll buy anything that guy ever releases.Word word. Cool, man.
I was a moderator on Soles forum for years. lots of memories with those anticon/ strange famous cats.
Well put. Thanks for posting that @TheContinentalOp . Always nice to be reminded there is such a thing as a search for beauty, curiosity about it, so easy to forget that that's pretty much the solution to anything & everything.
Seems like almost none of our storytelling (TV, movies, whatever) concerns itself with that any more -- weird if you're old enough to recall times when almost all storytelling was about that.
