Has he defended his belt yet?I don't think anyone is giving Conor a chance to win this fight. A chance to make money? Sure. But he needs to hurry his ass up back to MMA where his equal awaits.
Conor? No. That's why he needs to get his ass back.Has he defended his belt yet?
UFC and mma media brainwashing: selling a fight is all there is don't read too much into it, spend as little time thinking about this and you'll be better offSome of the top boxers in the world couldn't defeat Mayweather, but we're giving Conner MacGregor a chance? Honest question. I'm obviously out of the loop on the fight scene apparently.
Agree, but knowing boxing I can respect his defensive game.If he happens to land a punch in the early rounds, maybe. But doubtful. You don't see a lot of 1 punch KOs in boxing.
I give him a 1% chance. Mayweather will avoid him and point him to death with jabs like he usually does. He is the most boring undefeated boxer in history.
That's a fair point. He most definitely has never fought someone who shouldn't have been able to get a boxing license to fight him.I've watched Mayweather fight for the last 15 years and I can honestly say Conor is the man to beat him, Floyd has never faced anyone like Conor Mac.
Conor will be in Floyd's head by the end of the press tour IMO, Floyd is used to playing the bad guy against a good guy opponent. But now Conor is like Stone Cold Steve Austin or The Rock, he's both good and bad and will bring it to street level with Floyd. He'll bring up the tax troubles and the domestic violence and have Floyd mad afThat's a fair point. He most definitely has never fought someone who shouldn't have been able to get a boxing license to fight him.
Doesn't the press tour end this week?Conor will be in Floyd's head by the end of the press tour IMO, Floyd is used to playing the bad guy against a good guy opponent. The big tour, yes. But the constant attention and shit talking that will surely flow will not stop.Doesn't the press tour end this week?
We don't really know if that's true. We don't know what his boxing timing will be like, and he's only got a 2 inch reach over Floyd. They're also within an inch of each other height wise.Awkward timing. Long reach.
Nothing that Conor has shown to do has ever really been a textbook approach so I'm pretty confident in saying that he's going to have some awkward timing. That may be a terrible thing for him but it's still something that has to be accounted for. When you talk about reach, is that just the arm length that sometimes boxing posts or is that total reach? I ask because Conor is very broad and uses that extra reach that his shoulders give him.We don't really know if that's true. Do you think there's any paralelles with Conor going to boxing and when Brock went to MMA? I only ask as you're a big Lesnar fan and consider him HW GOAT. Lots of the same things being said about Conor going into uncharted waters were said about Brock as well. That's a fair point. He most definitely has never fought someone who shouldn't have been able to get a boxing license to fight him.
I'm not sure but a week is enough for Conor.Doesn't the press tour end this week?
While that's funny, I don't see the hoopla about him getting licensed. He's a fighter, he's proven to be a very healthy person with a good chin, and he's not exactly fighting the most dangerous puncher in boxing. Not sanctioning a fight is typically for safety rather than integrity of the sport, isn't it? Conor will likely lose handily but he almost certainly won't take the damage he took against Nate. That's a fair point. He most definitely has never fought someone who shouldn't have been able to get a boxing license to fight him.
I feel it's unfair to say I'm "big fan" of Brock. I'm simplmore objective about accomplishments in the sport than most people. That applies not only to him, but to all fighters. Having said that, I don't feel there are a lot of parallels between the 2 of them aside from them both venturing out of their comfort zones. Brock was a NCAA all American in wrestling. He was a gigantic human in a division that was essentially open weight, and he's also a freaky generational type athlete who can compete at incredibly high levels in seemingly anything he chooses. What Conor is doing is the equivalent of CM Punk making his MMA debut against GSP instead of Mickey Gall, and truthfully if there are parallels to draw that's where they should be made.Do you think there's any paralelles with Conor going to boxing and when Brock went to MMA?
