She is getting her truck detailed in her driveway and wanted to know if it was racist that a black man was cleaning her truck. I quickly responded is he in chains?

Shit went south very quickly

Didn't help that I mentioned he was also detailing a white truck.

Lord. This is what this fucked world has done to our kids’ brains. Man can’t do an honest job without them wondering if they’ve demeaned him somehow. Tell her he does does to relax between his M-F gig as a rocket scientist for NASA and to not worry about it.

If the dude has his own business then he is probably doing pretty good money wise. No need to feel sorry for someone that is doing an honest day's work. There's unskilled and skilled labor. He is at the latter if he does detail work, imo.

100%, my wife was actually the one who told my daughter and I to knock it off, we have a different relationship then my wife and her, our humor is pretty similar, my wife just shakes her head and walks away.
At least they had a good lunch together.
