It's a trap. See those illegals in the pic? I'm about to bury them in it with their own equipment.
You should ask the tallest one his height then get in the hole with a tape measure and measure that number out exactly. Just a casual glance up at them and a quick “that’ll work if you guys screw this up” before walking away.

How long til its plumbed and you can start filling it?

You pay for water? I've heard a few crazy stories about $1,000 water bills filling pools.
They're filling it tomorrow, and they bring in a water truck. 2500 gallons at a time.

Just crazy to me that they brought the excavating equipment out here at 2pm yesterday and at 4pm today, the pool was in the ground and leveled. They're drilling the holes for the jets, lights, bubblers, etc right now. Going to run the plumbing tomorrow.

Our neighbors used a different pool company. They started digging theirs the day after Halloween and it wasn't done until Memorial Day the following year. 7 months. These guys are telling me they'll be completely done in approx 6 weeks.

Nice. How close you gonna run the grass around that thing? I could see that being a PITA over time.

The walkway in the front and on the sides will be 5 feet wide and 10 ft of concrete (flared out to 15 ft where the pergola will go) on the backside. I'll definitely have to point the mower away from the water...

Oh BTW...that company went out of business 6 months later.

My auto shop teacher owned a pool company. He'd hire the rocker greaser dudes from his classes. They said the job sucked sucked but he paid good and bought them beer on Fridays lol.
