Son of Batman (Spoilers!)

Didn't care for it. It broke my verisimilitude in the very first scene. I don't care for the character of Damien. Perhaps there was a retcon, but the lazarus pits used to be able to resurrect the dead so i don't know what was up with that. Didn't know why Deathstroke would leave a ninja star calling card for batman to find. There just seemed to be a lot of odd or poor choices being made in the writing. Wasn't a big fan that they basically say talia raped bruce.

However the art and animation were both decent. Voice acting was passable.

Watched it quite a while ago and didn't really like it a lot. Don't really remember why but I don't want to watch it again to find out.

There have been some great Batman cartoons. Mask of the phantasm, Under the red hood and the Dark knight returns (parts one and two) were all stellar.

I actually liked it. I like Damians bad attitude. I do agree with the lazarus part that didnt make sense. I also didnt really like death stroke in it.

I didn't mind Peter Weller in The Dark Knight Returns. I was hesitant when I heard it was Robocop doing the voice but I thought he did a good job.

Did you make that decision right away or after you finished it?
In my case, the greatness of both parts swayed me. I'd have to say that it is probably my favorite DC animated universe movie.

After watching it for about 5 minutes I settled in and enjoyed it. He had a good, clear no nonsense approach that I liked. When I had heard that Weller was doing the voice I didn't think I would like it at all but I must admit that I was pleasantly surprised

For those who haven't watched Dark Knight Returns this video is time stamped to start on Weller but the rest of the Batman voices deserve a listen too. It's cool to see the different approach that each actor took.

Bruce Greenwood did a good job in Under the Red Hood and Young Justice. I wasn't crazy about Weller.

But of course Conroy is the GOAT.

I think part of why he worked was that Batman was old as fuck. So I'd expect him to sound somewhat different.
