Did weight training on my legs.
Deadlifts and Squats.

I usually just do bodyweight excercises and stepper machine.

Well..
48 hours later I can't walk.

Any tips for treating sore muscles and recovery?

Cold helps me more than heat for muscle soreness.

Here is the one my wife bought me. She paid 100 ca for it years ago, even at 150 ca it is well worth the money (though I'm sure you could fine better or cheaper if you look around the net).

How's the sore muscles and recovery going Jdog93 @Jdog93 ? What seemed to work for you if anything?
I did the Hot Cold trick in the shower. Followed by a rub down from the Wifey (no happy ending).

And funny enough just working out again doing upper body helped the most.

I personally find that swearing and moaning helps a lot.

(I went hiking on very little sleep and didn't really eat during the hike until 7pm as an experiment, really messed me up. A solid day of complaining, moaning and stretching and voila the soreness is gone :D )

Well, muscles get really sore after the workout but you can prevent it by following these simple points.
  • Get moving. Believe it or not, one of the best ways to reduce muscle soreness is to get them moving. ...
  • Be sure to warm up
  • Progress slowly into a new exercise program
  • Soak in a salt bath
  • Take a pain reliever
  • Make time for recovery
  • Try a split-day routine

I hope now you figure out how to deal with this kind of problem for me it mostly happens while running and walking. This is really painful, but now I know how to do it. Firstly I just start moving slowly. Take a bath and take a pain reliever and it works. Now we want to know how it works for you. Please share your experience with us.
