My wife was buying a whole bunch of that green gremlin looking motherfucker stuffed animals. I told her if she keeps buying the toys we'd have to watch all of them starting from the first one. I never saw the original Star Wars and about 6 months ago we watched it. So far that's the only one we watched. The green fucker isn't even in that one.

The movie was ok but not good enough for me to be in a rush to watch the next one. We'll probably watch it sooner or later. I also feel like Family Guy ruined it for me since they basically made an episode that was the whole first Star Wars plot.

Mid 40's. I'm the right age group to have watched the original and maybe I did when I was a little kid but don't remember it.

I'm 54, ANH came out when I was 7.
I thought they made it just for me lol.
It was all I cared about, only toys I wanted. I remember walking across the living room and stopping dead in my tracks when I saw the commercial for the first time.

This. My brother & I actually shared a bedroom for a few years just so the 3rd bedroom could be our Star Wars(mostly) playroom. Think we were 7 & 4 at the time.

Yeah, I'm in the same boat as Homeslice, somehow. They came out in theaters when my older brother was younger. He was nuts for it, so I was exposed to it through him a couple years later. I remember liking them, but it didn't grab me the way it did him. The toys were great, though.

After watching Episode I, that ended any interest in watching anything related to that franchise going forward. Kind of sad watching people try to relive that nostalgia just to watch them be repeatedly sodomized by Disney. Better to pretend the original trilogy was the only ones made.

I didn't get the Homeslice reference. Is that a Star Wars character? It looks like a kid dressed as a zombie. My favorite toys were GI Joes. You could do any wrestling move with them, didn't care for the Star Wars toys.

Make sure you watch Empire Strikes Back, that is the real gem of the Star Wars trilogy IMO.

As a 7 year old it was the greatest movie ever, I still remember the long ass line to get in and see it
