Since Tapout is now getting in bed with the WWE, what are your thoughts on this merger?

as long as tapout supports fighters as they always have, they need to stay around. they have always been one of the best sponsors, but i don't know how they run stuff with charles (r.i.p.) gone. not a wwe fan at all, but to each their own. that does sound like a different version of pride in the making, crazy intros and all.

I used to think Tapout was just some douche company worn by douches.
Then I learned about the amount of sponsoring they do for up and coming smaller fighters. Sure its a business investment too, but they are being good to those guys and not strong arming anyone like some other companies.
Also, lets not forget the very clear origins of MMA and MMA fandom have from the pro wrestling world.

The Tapout that supported the sport and fighters is now gone.
It's now a corporation owned machine that doesn't care about the sport or fighters.
They are pioneers in the mma game. I used to by original tapout gear from them out of their van. They would park a mile away from king of the cage events and sell shirts when they were not allowed into the events. I will always support them.
But the guys who did that no longer own the company. It's owned by a corporation that is using the previous owners past street cred.
100% sold and gone from the OGs? too bad....

Charles' family got ripped off, Skyscrape got paid but nothing he should have. Hitman Dan got ripped off for everything, and Punkass made off like a bandit with money that wasn't really his.
Then the corporation that bought it proceeded to screw everyone, steal money and give kickbacks.

Tapout was never the same when Mask passed away. A ton of shady shit went down, fighters got fucked out of royalties, family members were screwed out of money, and eventually it was sold to new ownership. The company lost it's way when the world lost Mask, and it will never be the same.
