I'm not sure where to post this, but I was wondering what were all the names to the thai fighters that compete in Glory, if anyone here watches Glory?
off the top of my head there are:
FW Petpanomrung Kiatmoo9 - elite stadium muay thai fighter, one of the best to ever make the transition to kickboxing although he keeps fighting in Thailand. Doesn't seem to be all in on kickboxing, had only one fight in Glory manhandling his opponent with mid kicks but recently lost in China to K1 8-man LW tournament winner Wei Rui -
Busy weekend in kickboxing | TMMAC - The MMA Community Forum - after suffering a shady point deduction for excessive clinching;
FW Saenchai - muay thai GOAT, had one fight in Glory last year winning a decision and was never mentioned again but is still ranked #5 at FW in Glory's website;
LW Sittichai - Former Lumpinee Stadium champion but never fought at the most competitive weight classes in muay thai. Crossed over to kickboxing and dominated winning titles in both Glory and Kunlun. Has only lost one fight in Glory in a bad decision against Robin van Roosmalen. Will defend his title in Glory's next event on March, 25th in a grudge match against Glory tournament winner Dylan Salvador;
LW Yodkhunpon Sitmonchai - Irrelevant fighter in Thailand, hasn't fought in Glory in 2+ years but is still ranked #5 at LW. Fights out of the stand and bang Sitmonchai Gym which suits international kickboxing perfectly but hasn't accomplished much yet;
WW Thongchai - Former Raja Stadium champion but he's a giant for thai standards and his weight class is lower level in muay thai. Fought twice for Glory going 1-1 but he's not really a kickboxer yet. As shown in his fight against Murthel Groenhart this weekend he still fights muay thai and gets penalized for clinching and looks really sloppy. Some western media outlets tried to make his transition to kickboxing a big deal but he's just a mid level thai who's big enough to fight westerners above 70 kg. He's reported to be very lazy and more into his fighting chicken than his actual career.
