I just went on the other forum for the first time in a while. After getting used to here, I can't even tolerate it over there anymore. The layout, the arrows, the posters, the mods, and the owners all make me angry.

So thank you, to the owners/admins, and to the other posters. This is how it should be. There are still growing pains, some weeds will occasionally need plucking, but this is like home: comfortable, with the odd goofy/obnoxious relative, but home.

The server's stable, the staff's responsive, the moderating is fair, news is posted quickly, fighters are doing Q&A's, I don't have to click refresh on fight nights, everyone is cool, it's not flooded with pop up & auto play ads? I don't know of any other forum but there are forums that exist strictly for complaining, fighting and cultural warfare. Those forums thrive on that type of controversy for traffic and are actively promoted by the mod staff for that purpose. Just note the most viewed threads and you'll see why people go there. At some point you get over daily Internet fights but you stay there because MMA news tends to break first, then even that isn't enough to deal with daily shitheads and tech glitches.

Lots of prominent people have left sites like that.

Seriously though, people act like a place can't be fun if you don't spend your day trashing people or complaining about something. We default to 'fuck you' and consider it normal nowadays. Most Internet posters are on a mission to make everybody as miserable as they are.
