I don't watch the NBA, but I like to get in early on these seasonal threads and say...

Lebron is a flopping bitch.

Golden State is off to an incredible start. It's pretty amazing how good they are after all the injuries. When Klay returns and they find their rhythm with him, they're going to be basically unbeatable.

The Heat will be the team to beat in the east. I'm calling it now. I don't know if they can beat the Warriors in the finals, but they'll be in the finals, that much I'm confident of.

The Nets won't win it without Kyrie, the Lakers won't be healthy or cohesive enough, and the Bucks are off to a shit start. They might turn it around but I currently see no reason for them to be so high on that list.

If I had to name the five best teams in the NBA right now my list would be:

1. Golden State
2. Phoenix
3. Miami
4. Utah
5. Denver/Chicago (tie)

Nets and Bucks will turn it around and fight for the title when shit comes down. The Warriors will regress a little bit, Klay will come back slow and take time and opportunities off Poole, Wiggins and others so I don’t believe they will automatically improve dramatically when he returns. By now I’d say safe money is on Brooklyn to win even though I don’t think they look real good so far.
The Lakers will be a disaster and at best get swept in the second round. I can’t believe how anyone thinks that Lebron/Carmelo/Westbrook will fit together well. They’re a mess.

the big news of the season is the new foul calling approach which is disabling the lame fake-shoot-automatic FT offensive strategy. Harden and Lillard are already feeling it.

The Pacers looked good against the Bulls last night. They're one of those teams that has been up and down to start the season but looked very good when they've been up.

The Nuggets, Knicks, and Grizzlies are other examples.

It was the right call. There was tension between the teams and it was their second time playing each other in 3 days.

The refs are just trying to defuse the situation before it gets out of hand and they did that.
Oh no! Tension between teams?!

@Lars can I get your unbiased opinion on this matter? Scoring on the opposing team then mild stare down with level one shit talk, is that worthy of a foul? This guys wouldn’t last a minute in street Hockey.

I thought we already had an NBA thread?

The Warriors are definitely off to a hot start. Hopefully that changes soon.

Suns @ Warriors tonight should be interesting. The Suns are riding an 18-game winning streak and beat the Warriors in Phoenix 3 games ago.

Not betting the game but if I had to I'd slightly lean toward the Suns bc they're red hot right now.

Finna be interesting to see how they handle the crowd noise in San Fran.
