what do you mean? i don't know what powder/load it was...i might have a couple still in the old ammo box, if you want me to go look.
I think the bullets were the plastic-tip bullets from Nosler. I'm not a reloader, but I built rifles for some.
Yuge if true

Guns are chambered in specific cartridges. I was discussing the 30-378 and velocity of its 308 bullets. Then you mentioned your mauser 308s so I didn't know if that meant you had a Mauser that was chambered in 308 Winchester, or another cartridge that used 308 bullets.
sorry - missed that you were talking 30-378, it's chambered for 7.62X51 NATO? shit, maybe .308
I was using surplus Parker-Hale barrels at the time, I don't remember which it was. My headspace gauge is .308, so let's call it .308 :)

BeardOfKnowledge @CornPop

OK - upon further review the bullets were Hornaday V-Max. IIRC, we used the Speer 100g load data, with the intention of going hotter.
I don't think we ever did, or if we did, it never made a real difference over that starting load.

ThatOneDude @ThatOneDude got a question.
Hirtenberger 762.51 308 ammo. Got some for 50 cents a round. Two different kinds. Ones a fmj and the other one is soft point.16172067725286849420302621595309.jpg
Got 200 of each. Is this good ammo? I jump at it because of the price.

Good bulk ammo assuming your gun likes it. I believe it's Berdan primed though so it makes reloading an issue.

A pic is the stamps. I'm thinking about getting into reloading. Just don't know how to go about starting it.
They're at the very least crimped which isnt a big deal. Once you've unloaded them you can look inside and see if they're Boxer or Berdan.

Its nice to have a physical manual (I have many) but everything you need to know is online. The only problem is you get a lot of contradicting information on forums and shit so it's ts good to have one or two people to bounce ideas off of or bring questions too. Personally, I'm happy to answer any questions people here have.
