I am a very accomplished player.

would happily play anyone here if we can sort out the semantics

My son and I play all the time, pretty much daily. I am self-taught so I only know the moves but no theories or gameplans or anything. Just move pieces around. I taught my son when he was 6 or so and he only knows what I know. So we play a lot but we are both terrible.

my two oldest daughters play, 6 and 4.

2 yo can name all the pieces and the two 'teams'. I'm just trying to figure out how to teach her the movements...need to get my own copy of Chess Is Child's Play

How many of you play? Want to learn? Who are the youtube chess players you watch?

Late 90's early 00's I played countless hours on Yahoo! Chess - they had a great set up with a chat box and legit competition.

It's been over a decade since I've played but have been meaning to get a nice wooden chess set ..
