Trump says he plans to keep 8,600 troops in Afghanistan - CNNPolitics

Just to do the media's job for it ( fake news CNN aren't the only ones not pointing this out), this is just a withdrawal of the troops that Trump added to Afghanistan: it just means you are going back to where you finished with Obama. It's not really a withdrawal at all.

But it does show that Trump's 'strategy' of adding a few more troops and loosening bombing rules was a complete failure: Taliban gained shitloads of territory.

Pretty funny how the only time Trump does/tries to do anything good, are the only times he encounters resistance from Republicans. And then he backs down like the stupid bitch that he is.

The inspector general found “no evidence that Comey or his attorneys released any of the classified information contained in any of the Memos to members of the media.”

Wow, I can't believe Trump was lying.
comey has not be exonerated

Statement from the Press Secretary
Issued on: August 29, 2019

ALL NEWS
James Comey is a proven liar and leaker. The Inspector General’s report shows Comey violated the most basic obligations of confidentiality that he owed to the United States Government and to the American people, “in order to achieve a personally desired outcome.” Because Comey shamefully leaked information to the press—in blatant violation of FBI policies—the Nation was forced to endure the baseless politically motivated, two-year witch hunt. Comey disgraced himself and his office to further a personal political agenda, and this report further confirms that fact.

Also, a few pages back, a few Trumpanzees gleefully repeated his ass-spew about ISIS being defeated..... which was *clears throat* fake News.

Well the Iraqi-Syrian physical caliphate has mostly been defeated, not the organization itself. Trump does clarify that when called on his bullshit.

But the idea that 'Trump defeated ISIS' is not something that anybody with any semblance of intelligence would say. The coalition operation started in 2014 and the battle of Mosul was already well under way when he took office. The Russians, Syrians and Iranians liberated as much of Syria as the US did (in fact fighting ISIS at one point was just a race between them).

Literally the only thing the Trump administration added to the ISIS fight was to tell the generals not to worry as much about killing civilians as the Obama administration did (not that they gave much of a shit either). They've done the same thing in Afghanistan and it's been a total failure, so it's not some brilliant directive.

SpaceCom: Trump launches space warfare command
US President Donald Trump has launched a new Pentagon command focused on warfare in space.

It comes as US military chiefs see China and Russia making advancements in the military final frontier.

The command will focus on defending American interests in space, such as the hundreds of satellites used for communication and surveillance.

"SpaceCom will ensure that America's dominance in space is never threatened," Mr Trump said.

"This is a landmark day, one that recognizes the centrality of space to America's security and defence," he said.
