No, you are an idiot.
It impacts on real peoples lives.
Glad you enjoy the suffering though.
It's largely been 4 more years of the same.
Lol. You are so dumb jones.
Christ mate. You are so dense when you go shopping k. Marts move around you
1) Simmer down. 2) Look up the numbers. The egregious behavior never came to fruition beyond a narrative being pushed by the media. Personally I don't believe that narrative anymore than I believe the one that anyone who voted for Brexit did so because they're racist.
Is it the label that you disagree with or my statement?
The graph itself is intentionally misleading. My opinion of bailouts not withstanding a one time "Fuck we need to help this group out because of a unique situation" is different than something like social services that are budgeted for year over year. It's also ignoring that in some cases money that goes to agriculture is used for public land or wildlife which is something that directly benefits the public.
What the fuck are you talking about? What does this have to do with Francis Bellamy (from the post you quoted)?
Oh, sorry, I thought you were talking about a different post.
He was a Chrisitan Socialist, not a Democratic Socialist.
Thought, thought he farted and he shit himself.
Ok, I will have to take your word on that over the professor of politics (with a PhD) that made this statement:
I'm taking the word of the link you provided to his wikipedia page.
Dont blame me for your lack of reading comprehension.
Straight out of that wiki page is the link to the quote I posted.
Don't fall for the rebrand.
Just like you posted: "Bellamy is considered an early American democratic socialist" with a link to the quote I posted from the professor and the original source:
Where is the rebrand?
Sometimes you can just admit you fucked up.
Notice the part where he referred to himself as one thing and then later people decided "Nah, he's one of us." ?
Again, the original quote:
Throughout American history, some of the nation's most influential activists and thinkers—including leaders of the major movements for social justice—embraced democratic socialism. Among them were labor leader Eugene V. Debs (who ran for president six times on the Socialist Party ticket, garnering more than 900,000 votes—more than 6 percent of the total—in 1912), philosopher and educator John Dewey, Boston clergyman Francis Bellamy (who wrote the original “Pledge of Allegiance” in 1892)
Yeah, so when someone is co-opted into a movement 100+ years after they die, that doesn't negate what they considered to be their life's work.
Also, here's a comprehesive guide to notable Democratic Socialists:
Democratic socialism - Wikipedia
Ok, you're the expert here, not the professor with the PhD.
Argument from authority - Wikipedia
You're directly stating the statement from professor Dreier is bullshit, take that up with him, not me.
Feel free to directly present your critique to him on Twitter Peter Dreier (@PeterDreier) | Twitter or through his website About Peter Dreier - Peter Dreier. Keep us updated.
or I'm pointing out that screaming "BUT A PROFESSOR" doesn't validate and opinion when all other information disputes it.
Seriously, have you not noticed how many people are being claimed as "democratic socialists" in the last 3 years?
Ok man, we got the point you're attempting to make. I think.
Corey Anderson makes me cringe ...hoping Jan finishes him quick.
