Stole a phone and bit her moms finger during a fight. Truly a monster. Her mom has put her into the system by snitching on her for not doing homework, so probably not in the running for mother of the year. Stealing isn't good, but juve is way overboard.
What about assaulting her mother? No biggy? Apparently she's assaulted her mother multiple times, and her lawyer is saying her ADD is the cause, get the fuck out with that shit.

Lol assault?
Yea, apparently she has assaulted her mother numerous times and the mother had to call the police....that doesn't matter right? If she was literally put in juvi for not doing her homework thats one thing, but that's not why she's there.
She said the police had been called three times over confrontations between the girl and her mother. “She was not detained because she didn’t turn her homework in,” Judge Brennan said. “She was detained because she was a threat to her mother.”
Saima Khalil, one of her lawyers, said the experience had been traumatizing for the girl and her mother. “She wants to go home,” Ms. Khalil said. “She wants to be with her mom. She’s overwhelmed and upset.”
Wanting to go home isn't a good reason for release either, I'm sure most people in jail want to go home....

Refusal to do homework sent her to juve. That's stupid. Give her some community service if you have to punish her, but Juve is way overboard and the fact that you'd defend that show how far your overton window for this issue is skewed.
Her mother couldn't control her and called the authorities to report the probation violation.

She obviously believes her daughter is better off under strict supervision, and the judge agreed.

What information do you have that allows you to question their decision?

Except she wasn't.

She was sent back to Juvi because she violated her probation.

She fought with her mother. Bit her finger. She stole a cell phone from a classmate. She has behavioral issues.

It was her mother that contacted the authorities about her refusal to participate in the online classes which was a violation of her probation.

If you want to make an argument that it isn't the best place for her to straighten up that's another story, but she wasn't just tossed in juvi because she didn't turn in her homework.
Wait, another one of Zeph @Zeph 's posts that turns out to be deliberately misleading???

A few more like that, and I might consider it to be a trend.

Sending a kid to jail isn’t the answer for ‘behavioural issues’.

Maybe lock the mother up for unfit parenting instead🙄
But what if the mother doesn't want to be in jail any longer, they should just let her out right?
