Some guy from Finland found this and posted a couple days ago on YouTube. This is Dieselnoi vs. Samart, perhaps the two greatest Muay Thai fighters of all time. Dieselnoi is the tall, lanky one. He was Lumpinee 135 pounds champion at the time, unbeatable, on the brink of being forced to retire because he was ruining gambling with his dominance. Samart was 126 pounds Raja champion but was given the weight advantage in this fight - he weighed in at 133 pounds, Dieselnoi almost killed himself to make 129.7 (going up and down in weight is common place in Muay Thai).
Sometimes I struggle to find fights from last night and pre-early 1990s muay thai fights are very rare so it's almost unbelievable that this one from 1982 just surfaced like that. It's definitely the greatest Muay Thai fight ever and no one had seen it until a couple days ago.
