I think Trump just enjoys being able to determine what the news cycle will be. He gets settled in to bed, wonders what he'd like to watch on TV the next day, and thinks up some wild shit and posts it. Then he gets to wake up, turn on the TV, and laugh at the howler monkeys losing their minds.
