Curious Robbie, why ramen after working out? The correct exercise physiology is that you want to ingest pure carbs right after a workout (and my little tweak is to make sure you actually ingest some before the workout), and I mean pure carbs, hell straight glucose if you got it. Within just a few mins after your workout. Your muscles will be looking for those carbs to refuel. Then protein within an hour after the workout, absolute max. The muscles will be repairing much longer term, and you want those aminos feeding that muscle.
So why ramen per se? With all that fat, their carb utilization will be greatly slowed down (and its complex carbs, not a glucose type thing to begin with, although in fairness those complex carbs are not that... complex lol), and not a lot of protein at all. Seems a weird pick. I would think one would eat a ramen before bed for example, it has plenty of (a bit) slower burn carbs, and fat, a just enough protein, to spare your muscles until breakfast time emereges.
Just my thoughts.
Thanks!!!
