Thiago Santos is expected to replace Derek Brunson against Gegard Mousasi, on the Fight Pass preliminary card of UFC 200.

Brazilian middleweight contender Thiago Santos asked and it looks like he shall receive. MMA Fighting reports that “Marreta” has agreed to fight Gegard Mousasi on the UFC 200 preliminary card on Saturday, July 9th. Portal do Vale Tudo had the initial story. UFC officials have not finalized the bout, but an announcement is expected to be made shortly. Santos would be replacing Derek Brunson, who withdrew from the card due to undisclosed reasons.

Santos (13-3) has won his last 4 bouts, with 3 of them coming by way of knockout. He easily dispatched Nate Marquardt at UFC 198, but his best win is a unanimous decision against then-unbeaten Elias Theodorou in December…

Will be a great fight, Gegard Mousasi has already cemented his place in MMA history as an all time great, would nice to see him pull off a win and continue his climb to the title .

Good fight. Not as excited though. Like Brunson and wanted to watch. Good to see Gegard stays on the card, maybe he will show up this time.

Go watch a video of that with the audio and tell me it isnt a sickening sound. I loved it!
That's the way it was when Matt Hamill headkicked Mark Munoz at UFC 96. Sounded like someone had crushed a fastball over the fence. The worst part was Munoz was dead. Took forever for him to recover enough for them to get him out of the cage.

Brutality...I thought Bosse was done too but boy did he prove me wrong Saturday, he's a hell of a fighter but it was obvious he's never been kicked like that before. Santos vs Mousassi will be chaos.
