Last week I went to buy some new drapes and a roll of black duct tape. At the store I found some other things I liked and I got so excited I forgot to unload the drapes and duct tape from the cart and left them there, the two things I had originally came for. I live in the country too so it was a 45 minute drive total to go back and get them.

So yea I felt pretty dumb then.

When I was in school all this shit was boring to me, but I was in the top class so I could deal with it (the prospect of getting relegated down a class was haunting to me, I'd prefer to stay in the nerd class and keep getting in trouble)

But I had no interest in it at all. I have no fucking idea how to do half the math I did when I was 15, because I diddnt apply it in everyday life after I left school

In fact I did french for 5 years and the only sentence I can think of off the top of my head is

En couli un poule (go fuck a chicken)

And I likely spelled that all wrong.

My parents would have been better off letting my stay at home 12 years or whatever playing video games and maybe I'd be a pro video gamer or some shit. I'd probably know more foreign insults too

For me, I have the superpower to forget names very fast. Luckily I don't forget stuff about people fast and I can save myself with some charm, so the women don't kill me right away.

But not just from people, names of things (I don't care much about) in general. But yeah, makes you feel dumb when you don’t remember the name of some movie you watched, but what happened in it very well.

yep. happens to me when i'm talking to some smart reader type person and they ask about the last book i read. i have no idea.
but i can tell you that the lady in the book saved all the little people ..and she had flaxen hair with eyes like the sky. fuck if i know what the book was called.

Interesting, as sales people will look at you (assuming you are in IT/technical) as one dimensional, unrealistic and ignorant to the real world........and the real dummy.

They are the most dysfunctional department in the building. Don't communicate. Don't understand processes. And are basically hostile to everyone while selling things we can't deliver on I the promised time lines. Every department has a Kansan board that all the other departments can see so we all know each other's work load..... Sales doesn't see the value in that.

Most everyone likes me and I move through all the departments with real-time ease and no politics. I'm quite at work for the most part and stay in my office with music playing unless I need to speak up.
