Can you imagine the terror that you must feel as a friend or family member of someone who has beenabducted? To have someone so close to you taken away by someone familiar or foreign must tear at the very fabric of your piece of mind. Not knowing if they have been hurt, in need of a hospital, or if it's too late must drive you crazy. What would you do? Would you go to the police? How long would you wait for the law to react and make a valiant search effort? What if they never did, would you take the search into your own hands?

In Layfayette Parish, New Orleans a man, whose name has not been released to protect his identity, notified police with other family members that his cousin, Bethany Arceneaux, had gone missing. They suspected that she had been kidnapped, but police officers hadn't found many leads. In fact, they hadn't done much more than a sweep or two that seemed more of a show than anything. The family felt as if they hadn't done all that they could do to "protect and serve."

That's when the family took it into their own hands to search the neighborhood and surrounding areas for signs of her whereabouts. Bethany was heard screaming frantically for her life from an abandoned house, and that's when her cousin came armed and running to her rescue. Let's just say it was resolved without the need for a court or lawyer.
