In a brilliant bit of crossover promotion, this October Marvel Comics are releasing a deluge of all new #1 issues of, pretty much, each of their most beloved IPs - but with a twist.

With each #1 comes a variant cover paying homage to the most iconic and critically renowned hip-hop albums ever released. And the homages are insanely good! From Eric B & Rakim to Wu-Tang Clan, check out your fave Marvel heroes getting a lil bit funky fresh:

1. Doctor Strange #1
By Juan Doe

2. Spider-Man/Deadpool #1
By Dave Johnson

3. Ant-Man #1
By Mark Brooks

4. Invincible Iron Man #1
By Brian Stelfreeze

5. Amazing Spider-Man #1
By Mike Del Mondo

6. Sam Wilson, Captain America #1
By Mahmud Asrar

7. Extraordinary X-Men #1
By Sanford Greene

And my personal favorite...

8. Squadron Supreme #1
By Mike Del Mundo

LOL wtf? I thought this was a parody but it appears to be legit.

Thanks for the heads up, I'm curious as to how this is received. It's a novel idea.

Same as Leigh I thought they were photoshop jobs. I can't say they're that great they don't really capture the essence of the album covers. You take away the fonts and graphics and they don't really say much.

I enjoy them quite a bit but agree with RDUK. How are Spidey and Deadpool relatable to Eric B and Rakim in any manner? Idk. Cool though

There are a few of them that I'm a little cold on, but a few are phenomenal.
