I worked in residential group homes for youth with mental disabilities and disorders during my college and university years.
At one point, I was working in a home with multiple residents with tourettes syndrome. I remember one night, the house was watching a Star Wars movie. The two tourettes kids were having a 'tick off', both exaggerating their 'ticks' knowing other or staff couldn't call them out without getting into a grey zone. Many amusing nights at that job.
