For his upcoming fight against Derrick Lewis at UFC 208, Travis Browne will not be training at the Glendale Fighting Club. Instead, he has taken his camp at the Black House Gym in Los Angeles.

Black House is known to have had the likes of Anderson Silva, Junior dos Santos, Lyoto Machida, the Nogueira brothers, and Ronaldo “Jacare” Souza, among others. While “Hapa” may be spending his time at one of the renowned MMA gyms in Southern California, he maintains that he is still working with GFC striking coach Edmond Tarverdyan.

Nope he has tapes of Ronda telling Edmond that one time Travis got physical with her. Its no secret at this point that Ronda likes being mildly choked when she is having sex. Well one night Travis went too far and Ronda go upset because she didnt know what to say or do, so she called Edmond, and he explained that is normal and that if Travis happens to punch her in the back of the head while in doggystytle that is normal as well. So while Ronda has accepted that, Edmond has kept that conversation that he recorded.

Travis stated in a recent interview that he was training in Vegas...not with Blackhouse. Edmond comes there like once a week.

browne if he uses all the tools he can beat lewis; derrick is a big strong power guy, but he has shown a less than dependable chin..effective but limited striking (esp def) and a nonexistent grappling game.

browne is a comparable athlete long mobile durable a competent grappler and great off the counter, which all spell upset win over lewis...who has loss to the only comparable athlete he has faced..and got iced one shot

I think Browne has this one. Probably out cardios him then finishes him in the 3rd. He needs to get back on track and needs to stop the damn black beast hype train.

In the interview Travis says he's training with Ricky Lundell??
If memory serves me correct Ricky was also Miesha Tate's coach

So calling it now... Honda has obviously kicked him to the curb

edmond issue is he has limitations as a coach, much more than a guy who has been coaching at this level should have; but when he trains guys SPECIFIC things improve, the problem is the other shit falls apart. Edmond could be "a" coach in a camp..he should not be the coach in the camp, unless he literally lets the other guys take over and he uses his connection w/his fighters to push them to success; as poorly as his guys have fought at times..they have been willing to buy in completely to what edmond is selling and that in itself is a talent/skill...

browne needs better sparring, guys who force him to use his full toolset and to get some outside perspective on what he is doing, what works and what is limiting him.
