Las Vegas – UFC® announced today that the open casting call for the upcoming season of The Ultimate Fighter® originally scheduled for April 25 in Las Vegas has been canceled. UFC apologizes for any inconveniences this cancelation has caused.

More information about the next season of the show will be made available in the weeks to come

That sucks for the guys who were getting ready to go (including Justin Scoggins brother Jared), but at least they did not let them pay their ways out to Vegas and then cancel a division after everyone was there like they did recently. Perhaps they realized what a bad look the gimmick of an automatic title shot for the TUF winner was when there are a number of fighters in the division who have not fought the champ yet.

This year the NFL combine offered the player who ran the fastest 40 the opportunity to replace the running back on the championship Broncos team.

But two weeks before the NFL combine they issued a statement "We decided not to hold the combine this year. Thanks for playing food luck."

Also this year, the NBA D league announced a mini tournament will be held this season. The winning team will get an automatic spot in the NBA Championship game to replace the winner of the Eastern Conference. The Eastern Conference is weak anyway.

After the teams cleared their schedules and made hotel and flight arrangements the NBA announced it was a mistake and "never mind."

Thank goodness the UFC is more professional than ANY other sports league so this type of shit does not happen.
