Two men charged in Jimmo death

Edmonton Police Service Homicide Detectives have laid charges in connection with a fatal hit and run that occurred on Sunday, June 26, 2016.

Anthony Getschel, 23, is charged with second degree murder, criminal negligence causing death, dangerous operation of a motor vehicle causing death, and fail to stop at scene of accident involving death.

Jordan Wagner, 21, is charged with accessory after the fact to murder.

Ryan Paul Jimmo 34, died as a result of blunt force trauma after being run over by a vehicle in a parking lot just off Whyte Avenue last Sunday. Both individuals charged did not know Jimmo and investigations showed that a brief verbal argument occurred shortly before the incident took place.

Im all for executing them. All murderers. The prison system houses them for too many years. Just fucking wipe them out unceremoniously and i think it will be a better deterrent and make people think before the commit stupid acts with drastic consequences.

Life should = death imo. Just get em done with. People need to fear breaking laws.


Although im conflicted on cases where someone who is innocent gets convicted.

It sounds like they ditched the car and didnt turn themselves in or anything so they know exactly what they did.

Same thing with the driver that killed the Bellator fighter awhile back.

These guys need to be executed or at least spend life behind bars.

If they had turned themselves in that night or maybe the next morning at the very latest, they should get like 15-20 years.

In Jimmos case it sounds like they actually ran him over on purpose which is just completely fucked up.

In the U.S, if youre an accomplice in a felony and somebody dies than you are usually charged with murder as well even if you didnt pull the trigger (or in this case werent in physical control of the vehicle).

Different countries. I also believe that it only applies when your are commiting a felony. If it was a burglary or robbery and someone got killed then the shooter and accomplice would get charged with murder. I think its based on being a willing participant in a felony. Where in this case the accomplice was just sitting in the car and it can be argued he was only along for a ride and had no intention of being part of a crime.

But when the passanger didnt call police or render aid and he just went home to bed thats when he gets the accomplice the accessory.

Hope driver gets life and accomplice atleast 10
