I've never been to the MGM but I can't imagine paying $200 for "cheap seats".
Exactly. Fuck that noise. $60 for nose bleeds, $300-$400 for lower level. Anything more than that is highway robbery.

The poorest guy in Ireland will cash in his 401k for a plane ticket and one of the "cheap seats"

They're honestly not that much worse than the ones one or even two price ranges higher. Go check out MMAHAWK @MMAHAWK thread " My fighter pics 2.0" and see his views as most of those are the cheap seats. MGM is a very small venue, my seats for DC vs Jones were twice the price as people maybe 30" behind me and I doubt I'd pay that again unless it's the best card eva....

I had a great time just going to LV and hitting up a UFC viewing party at the Double Barrel pub on the strip for UfC 189. A hand full of fighters were there and a section of the pub was walled off to those who paid and everyone was super into the fights, tons of fun. Seeing live fights is a must for any fan but I really enjoyed all the other stuff leading up to it like the open work outs, Q&A, weigh ins and so on. Lots of opportunities to meet fighters and get pictures or signatures and just see how fight week unfolds is great.

That's cool. I tried the live experience once and learned it wasn't for me. I'm too anti-social for the lead up stuff. Which are reasons why $200 seems ridiculous to me.

I enjoyed the fights live but I had more fun at the viewing party for sure.

Anybody can go to all the other stuff iirc. If anybody is going to future events I'm happy to lend you my UFC fight club info to get you into weigh ins and shit, it'll get you in early for better seats and the Q&A too. I'd love to see one or more of our members attending each event and posting here with pictures and cool shit that happened.

I'll agree that $200 for the cheapest seat is to much But this is in las vegas. The event is roughly 6 hours of entertainment. If not confined to the arena for that time I'm personally losing/spending at least close to that just wandering the strip. I'd never pay that for nosebleeds in any other city but that's how I've always reasoned spending $200 for a ticket plus say $50 on beer and food at the fights.

Of course to each their own. I have no doubt that location plays a big part. Im just saying personally the atmosphere doesn't do it for me and there's several things I'd rather spend $200 (plus tax and service fees) on.
