Seven of UFC 235’s main card stars will earn guaranteed six-figure paychecks.

Saturday’s headliners and co-headliners will all earn guarantee show money with no win bonuses, according to Yahoo Sports’ Kevin Iole. Defending champions Jon Jones and Tyron Woodley will earn flat half-million dollar purses, while contenders Anthony Smith and Kamaru Usman will make $350,000.

What may catch some off-guard is how the debuting Ben Askren has the potential to earn more than his opponent, former welterweight champion Robbie Lawler. Both fighters will make a guaranteed $200,000, but Askren’s win bonus is $150,000 vs. Lawler’s…

Lol. Honestly though, I thought it was $5k for anyone with less than 5 fights but Ben said it was $3500 this week. Dude is 18-0, been champ in two other major orgs, and already has a huge UFC fan following. And he made $3500. Reebok deal is a scam of the highest order.

3 if they're lucky. 4 if something amazing happens. Injuries, matchmaking agendas and venues (i.e. regional fighters on the card) shape how often they can fight. 1-2 is probably the average.

In hindsight it really makes Kalib Starnes' decision to just shut up and dance vs. Quarry make a lot more sense.
