Askren's gameplan was TERRIBLE. He's struggled at the beginning of a few big fights.

So, instead of circling around, getting his feet under him and gauging distance - he immediately shoots for a takedown?

That's the most fucking predictable thing he could possibly do!

Props to Masvidal for the aggression and execution!

Double post. The connection is spotty in this eco lodge but thankfully the stream has been relatively stable.

Look at Holm getting up after the stoppage. It was the right call.
That's how they all look, many recover.
We'll never know, but I think these refs serially jump in a bit too soon.
I can think of a dozen fights that "should've " been stopped, weren't, and a comeback win occurred.
I just like no question, clear finality.
