Pantoja should be #3 PFP.

Merab has longer win streak at 12 I think but only has 2 defenses and he barely beat Umar and the recent OMalley rematch was undeserved and was his first finish in the UFC. I like Merab but until the is sub, he has barely hit opponents or come close to a sub.

Pantoja is on an 8 fight win streak but has 4 defenses and has a much higher finishing rate and does much more offensively to his opponents. He also apparently has the most finishes at FLW now surpassing DJ and Fig.

Looking at the replay of Charles, I just realized he exchanged hands with Ilia and to do so he had to put himself in boxing range but without using his reach like Royval was giving some problems to Van with the reach advantage.

Outside of the kicks, Charles had never put his arm reach to good use. Like he never fought long enough that his reach should allow for. Is it his tight high guard that allowed the guy 3 inches shorter and 5 inches less reach jab him up like this?

Damn, that was a hell of an ending combo. Charles crowded himself and looked content in getting into a fire fight. Illia winning is good for the sport. Hope UFC does the an open air stadium in Spain like Illia wants. They won't, but they should. Too bad we aren't gonna see him fight Islam.

He came fwd as Ilia was expecting but pit himself in boxing range against a faster more accurate more powerful guy. All the way in, all the way out was the place to be.

Also uber impressive that Ilia was able to pass to side and almost secure crucifix, no one has been able to do that but…he also gave Charles an opp to scramble. Risky but he was confident on the ground but could have gone bad too. He said he stood up since he saw Charles was hurt but don’t buy that since he stood and kicked the legs casually 3 times. If Charles was hurt, he woulda stood up right away. He didn’t wanna go back into the guard after that as well which he should have but can’t claim he was better on the ground either.
