How did the fight go? Got caught up on a business call, couldn't break away to talk shit or get my shit pushed in by KnockoutThoughts @KnockoutThoughts, now I just see the last part of the fight. Bummer.

KnockoutThoughts @KnockoutThoughts, I owe you some shit talking. Maybe next time. Can't really do it now without seeing the fight. I'd like to, I just can't. Having said that, I told you so!!!!!! (even if that means Sakai slipped on a banana peel)

I'd rather have 4 quarters than 100 pennies.

His damage on the ground has always been lethal...rarely commits to Tds tho

Doesn't miss a strike on the ground and loads up on every one of them
That's why I get so pissed at him when he just seems to lay and pray at times. He took Rosenstruik (or whatever it is) down every time he even looked at him and barely threw any shots from the top. He does that from time to time where he gets so cautious, even standing, that he won't even take advantage of positions where he can really dominate.

It’s fukn over?
Damn, you're a hard guy to please. You think the UFC is made of billions or something? This event will set them back quite a bit as far as payroll goes. They did it for the fans though. Do you not appreciate that? You just witnessed history.

In that one I think he just wanted the points and thought he had the stand up handled...which he did until he didn't.

I hear ya man...If presented TD threat early he could get a lot more KOs with his amazing offensive skillset.

Maybe he will realize this and use that tact against certain opponents if he keeps on rolling.

amazing longevity on this guy is all I know

If Sakai had power, Reem woulda been slept many times over.
Once or twice he caught him clean alright, was a nice uppercut in the first and that elbow was beautiful, 90% of those flurries against the cage were missed though.

Any of the heavy hitters in the top 5 probably put him away, again.

Was still a great performance in my mind but I’m an admitted Reem fan.

It was lacklustre because Sakai gave up before he even hit the mat. Rolled to his side and just wilted. The bombs were only needed to convince Herb that Sakai was finished.
I hear ya...but Sakai is a red hot super skilled HW

He didn't quit until Reem made him want to leave that locked cage

I saw Reem showing 23 years of skill and an amazing heart and will to find a way

That fight had violence, damage, skill, back and forth swings...doesn't get much better for me

Sakai is an amazing fighter and that is what made it impressive to me, he faced a master and took a lesson

None of what you said changes my opinion that it was a lacklustre ending.

Sakai folded. The 4th round beating took his spirit. He was done after a weak takedown. I'd have been happier if it had really taken those elbows to finish Sakai instead of just him giving up.
