How the hell does Germaine de Randamie not get an OTN bonus? She had the 2nd-fastest finish in women's bantamweight history at 16 seconds, and she did it against an undefeated fighter.

Regardless of what you think of the stoppage (I personally think it was fine), it's not de Randamie's fault that it happened.

Was Rodriguez's finish 1 minute before the end of round 3 more impressive? No.

Were Fili's pitter-patter hammer fists more impressive? Fuck no.

What fucking bullshit.

Considering the talent pool in wmma is very shallow, it may lead to performances in the men's divisions being seen as much more praiseworthy by default but I see your point.

However, to characterize Fili's fight as consisting merely of "pitter patter" is entirely unfair.

The weirdest thing about De Random giving up a belt just to pussy out of the Cyborg fight is that she would have had a decent chance of beating her.

Also, Herb Dean sucks again. He's particularly bad in broad fights. I don't like broad fights either, Herb, but they're allowed to be given the same chance to recover as the men. If you don't like seeing women get hit, don't ref them.

If GDR had beaten Cyborg, she would've had one, maybe two people to fight. If she had lost, UFC would've probably cut her. It was a lose-lose proposition. Women don't have a lot of opportunities on cards because the UFC hasn't invested in building divisions. Instead, they've focused on giving away belts. Belts don't get you paid if there are no fights.
