nice lil card
Former champ and multiple time contender Andrei Arlovski on the pre-lims and woman beating POS Greg Hardy on the main card. I guess Disney/ESPN aren't really as down with #metoo as they like to say.........
I could have gotten some freebie tix and didn't bother. I would rather watch it at home and FF the stinkers.
Man endgame on Friday, ufc on Saturday and game of thrones on Sunday. It’s a lot of TV but it will be worth it!
A lot of filler for GOT on Sunday
Decent Bellator card on Saturday too friend...
Christ this card sucks
I took my dad to a fox card. The fights were great but it was over 7 hours from start to finish because of commercials.
Though he loves the fights he’s 70 and it was a long damn time to be stuck in uncomfortable (though expensive, in the center of the ring and just a few rows up on the first deck) seats. We had to walk 4 blocks outside in the cold and wait an hour to flag down a cab afterwards too.
Tv cards have a lot of downtime and drinks are 12 bucks. I don’t blame you for staying at home.
Not great, but we've seen much, much worse even very recently.
Name the event(s)
Can someone explain why Greg Hardy is the Co-main, again? The dude is nowhere near the caliber for a co-main spot.
Literally the last two ESPN+ cards.
The Russia one yeah, but Pettis-Thompson is arguable
Bizarre as it sounds, Jacare vs whoever he is fighting is actually a more meaningful fight than Wonderboy-Pettis. It's two top 10 fighters in a division as opposed to a meaningless novelty fight.
And the undercard for this one is also definitely better than that card.
The arena in which this event is being held is literally 25 mins from my house. I didn't even bother looking up how much tickets were.
Does hearing that cause you to spit your vegemite sandwich onto your phone screen?
I'm on my mother's laptop while she's still out partying with bikers, not my phone.
I wouldn't have gone either. I'm not saying it isn't trash by any stretch. I just think the last two cards were even worse, which is saying something.
Yeah you're probably right. I guess I'm just annoyed that the main event has gone from Romero-Borrachinha --> Romero-Jacare 2 --> Jacare-Hermansson
Jacare's entire UFC career has been annoying in general. It's strange to me that I think he's actually only lost 1 fight in the UFC and yet has never deserved a title shot.
Are you not counting the Gastelum fight as a loss?
Yep. People credited Gastelum with Jacare being gassed, but that's not how scoring works. Jacare landed the bigger strikes on Kelvin in the last round despite being about to fall over and die of exhaustion.
Media scores were split down the middle despite the commentary being heavily biased towards Kelvin because Jacare was shot. So not everyone was fooled.
