Im alittle confused about the first line in the story. The largest disclosed payday both earned 500k. Silva vs Diaz, Silva earned 800k and Diaz 500K which would make that the largest payday. Maybe i missed something

Other than the McG & Mendes those figures are disappointing af. Hopefully Lawler & Rory Mac get ppv points.

I think it's a pretty sure bet that McG and Lawler have ppv earnings. It's just fucked that McG had a champion contract without being one. He has a superb agent.

Champ Robbie Lawler: $300,000 (includes $150,000 win bonus)
def. Rory MacDonald: $59,000

Half to taxes, cost of camp, paying managers and coaches, etc.

There isn't a bonus big enough to make up for the time that fight took off of his life, but even if there were, he didn't get it from the UFC.

Come on now. Mcgregor sold that event and pounded the pavement with media commitments. If anything he was underpaid, like the rest of the card.

he ended up before taxes 139,000.00. He will take home around 75,000.00 after taxes according to Nevada tax calculator. Minus the camp coaches and expenses.
he will do ok BUT that wont get him thru the year, he will have to fight again and in his condition its worrisome

Masvidal getting that Strikeforce money. That's what fighters want.

Warerson making a decent amount for a debut. Especially after getting subbed and losing her title.

That's one way of looking at it. I don't consider him underpaid and he did press, so what? That's what you're supposed to do, especially if you're getting ppv points.
But I don't agree that he sold the show on his own. The UFC sold him and didn't give us a choice in who we wanted to see in ads and interviews. Rory Mac and Lawler was always going to be a dope fight but they weren't promoted & they don't seem to have the desire to promote themselves.
Anyway, good on McG

What that guy went through on Saturday night deserves some out-of-pocket locker room bonus action coming his way. Like, a severe upgrade in pay should be in order ASAP. Guys like Rory are the reason organizations like the UFC make so much damn money.

Lets hope for that UFC discovery process..

Its embarrassing to have numbers that low for a guy that literally broke his face for the company.

Crazy to think Dana made more money than all the fighters combined sitting there.

$139,000 is better than $59,000, but still brutally low for a fighter with Rory's experience, fighting for a championship on what the owners of the UFC have referred to as the "biggest" and "best" event in the history of the company.

Any commission that would license Rory for another fight this year should be investigated for corruption.
