The UFC has inked a multi-year, multi-million deal with Modelo Especial to serve as the official beer sponsor of the organization in the United States starting in 2018.

The deal comes as the UFC’s current contract with Anheuser-Busch comes to an end later this year.

Modelo — a Mexican import brand that also sponsors teams such as the Golden State Warriors and the Chicago White Sox — will look to expand their brand in the U.S. even further with branding in the UFC Octagon as well as with athletes in the organization....

I like Modelo btw. Bottle is shit but the beers okay.

It’s negra actually ;). It’s Mexican beer, so I think they’ll let it slide.

Corona would have done well to ink a deal with the ufc.

Funny! Modelo is literally one of my favorite beers but god damn that is WAY
down the list of top beer sponsors... Makes me think the bigger sponsors aren't feeling
the post Jones, Honda, Rumble, Silva and quite possibly Conor UFC star power is worth
the investment

Modelo is owned by AB InBev. Basically just switched Bud Light with Modelo to draw more gringos towards the brand.
