Ask UFC flyweight Ian McCall whether he wants to return to the cage, and you might get an honest answer.

Or maybe, you’ll get a version of the truth, an inkling that came to him in the moment and passed his lips without much thought. It varies by the hour.

“As much as I like to mess with the media and say I’ll never fight again, I don’t if you guys realize I’m totally full of (expletive),” he told MMAjunkie. “I don’t know what I’m going to do.”

Benched since January 2015 by a series of injuries, McCall (13-5-1 MMA, 2-3-1 UFC), 31, has tried a few things. He announced this past winter he would be a co-manager at a medical marijuana facility. He started coaching. He started a podcast. And recently, he invested in a salon offering cryotherapy and other high-tech machines that help athletes and regular people recover from injuries and medical conditions.

Motivate me to watch. Does he still have a large following? I used to like him but his attitude and constant injuries turned me off.

Don't do it bro, the MMA Media would never recover from the meltdown that would commence...

I can imagine the horror, air raid type sirens and red lights blaring at SB Nation HQ, UG News operatives start booking flights to the OC armed with 4oz gloves to enter the GP to win the exclusive sit down, Ariel immediately logs onto gaylumberjack.com to buy a new flannel for the walk-n-talk video, etc

Man, this dudes place in the sport is so far below his own perception of what it is, surely from close to ten years of constant internet mouth love from the UG dolts.

Regarding, does he have a large following - apparently yes.

He does have an attitude, In my very limited opinion..........he apparently has no remorse for acting like a twat (that's not fighter bashing) when he was younger and in that stupid, loser gang

Apparently he's making some serious scratch with his weed store in Cali, so I wouldn't even think about returning to MMA if I were him.

If he's not in shape he shouldn't be thinking about fighting. Although I'd love to see him come back and grab that title he got shiested on first time around.

If almost beating a guy who they call the potential p4p best in the world right now, and then watching as anyone who has a recent win is thrown in to face him because he's beaten everybody doesn't motivate him to fight then maybe he shouldn't fight.
