On October 7th, the UFC’s newest division had it’s second ever fight take place a part of UFC 216‘s main card. Both promotional newcomers,Kalindra Faria and Mara Romero Borella got the opportunity to shine in the 125 lb clash. Unfortunately for Faria, the UFC’s first Italian female fighter, Borella did just that. Earning herself a dominant first-round submission victory, Borella proved herself as an early contender for the eventual inaugural champion.
