What type of proof is needed though? My understanding was she is in protective or solitary confinement. I haven't heard anything about bail. There were a few articles in late August stating she was getting better treatment than other prisoners at that jail because she had the first in person attorney visit, whereas others had been waiting 6 months for such an opportunity.Zero visual proof she is in any type of custody

I'm not doubting she is in custody, I'm just wondering why the trial is set, at this point in time, so far in the future. I understand it when I see lawyer arguments asking for more time due to new evidence, and I understand high profile cases taking longer to actually end up at trial, but it just seems odd that here we are in October and the trial is already set almost a year away. Then again, I don't really follow many court cases, so maybe this is normal, or due to backlog in the court system since it pretty much shut down from covid for a while.
