So I'm sure this poll has been done many times before, but for me it's a longitudinal study. Surely as this continues to fuck the sport in the ass, the true believers in 'clean sport' will fall away.

As you can see from the available poll responses, this thread is a safe space, where all opinions will be respected without prejudice. Those who recognize that USADA has been a calamitous failure and those who are complete dipshits will be treated equally.

They had legal TRT

go get a license to cheat

Some did, some didn't

some lost eyes, and lots of brain health to guys on Legal TRT "natural Levels"....natural levels my ass

Lawsuits were and are likely incoming for those who lost to PED fueled guys.

They are protecting their asses

Ya I am glad...a sport that appeals to the young and takes Massive PEDs to succeed in is not a good thing IMO

I do think some orgs should fight juiced up but I would like to know who is and isn't melting iron beams with their piss

I'm no fan of the TRT exemption system - either you have a drug testing regime and let everyone circumvent it, or you don't have testing at all. But you don't have a system that allows some to juice to the gills and then try and bust others.

That's another problem with USADA, it puts a lot of pressure on the UFC to protect its bottom line by incentivizing them to protect their stars, as it seems they tried to do with Jones originally. And it increases the gap between rich and poor - Jones was an idiot getting caught, he had the financial resources to get away with it. But up and coming fighters do not.

Eye injuries can happen without or without drugs - people are still getting kicked in the head. Were drugs involved when Bisping poked Belcher's eye and he never fought again?

Also, how you 'know' who is melting beams with their piss? Not even Jeff Novitsky would look you in the eye and tell you that they are catching every doper. Some will always be ahead of the game.

I don't think it's too much to ask for everyone to be on a level playing field, especially when it comes to MMA where people face serious injury all the time.

true about belcher...not a fan of bisbsing but many others fought juiced up guys and took KOs and other damage

catching a few and suspending will send a message to play ball or find another job...plenty of guys have been fighting clean and it shows..

I say let those guys make the bucks...cheaters are gonna have to take pay cuts and time off for cheating

USADA era has shown us who wasn't relying on an advantage and who was...that is important for MMA history

In the long run it will be.

Right now it's causing a lot of problems.

But again in the long run, with a new generation of clean fighters (and unfortunately a few better cheaters), it will make the sport better.

It is too much to ask, because it will never happen.

This can mean two things though.

both really

UFC drug tests are no longer an IQ test (timing)

NFL you know when you are tested unless you are on the watch list...If you fail you are an idiot
And many appealing sports work exactly the same. In that aspect MMA wasn't different from any other sport.

I'm interested to see what MMA will look like after 10 years of USADA. A lot of current people should be weeded out by then and people who were roiding in smaller orgs without testing will probably be tested more heavily just to get in. It's hard to say what the impact will be in the cage though. Less KOs? Less hold downs? Less wall and stall? Less explosive escapes? Lower cardio? Who knows what a ped free sport looks like in practice.
