George Roop suffered a nasty leg injury in the main event of ROAD FC 31 on Saturday morning -- his first fight since being released from the UFC last year.

In his first fight since being released from the UFC, veteran bantamweight George Roop headlined ROAD FC 31 against Yoon Jun Lee in Seoul, South Korea on Saturday morning, but the fight came to a halt early in the first round. Roop suffered a nasty injury -- likely a broken leg -- while throwing a front kick to the body of Lee, resulting in a first-round TKO win for Lee. Check out video of Roop's injury above.

Not watching but this explains why he wasn't brought back to give BJ Penn a gimme fight

Talk about abs of steel..that was a freak accident...Hate to see a Vet like Roop who deserves a lot of respect get a bad break like this no pun intended...the guy had fought a murders row and never turns down a fight...hope he recovers, get well George..btw I still can't believe the devastating KO he gave TKZ..
