The War on Cash Intensifies: Visa Offers Restaurants $10,000 to Go Cashless

Visa has declared war on cash and its "opening salvo" is to start paying restaurants $10,000 to go completely cash free.

The credit card giant is this week announcing a new plan to hand out thousands of dollars to up to 50 small food and restaurant vendors if they agree to stop taking cash.

What do you think TMMAC?

Personally I think its a bad bad idea for the citizens of the World to go cashless, to much can go wrong with this.

Every other year we hear about major corporations being hacked and vital information being compromised. (Verizon, PlaySation, Target ect)

Now imagine it being your bank account or your digital wallet.

In the Bible the Book of Revelation speaks of a time when no one will be able to buy or sell unless they take up the mark of the beast (666).

Revelation 13:17 - " And that no man might buy or sell, save he that had the mark, or the name of the beast, or the number of his name."

Visa's War on Cash is just another step to fulfill prophecy and brings us closer to the end or the Rapture!

REPENT SINNERS...Go to Jesus!

I never use cash at a restaurant, except for the tip.

Just the tip.

I think most of society would be in the same boat as you in regards to paying. It will be interesting to see if restaurants take the cash payout and accept Visa's proposition.

I'd assume at restaurants with bars most people will pay with cash on the bar side including the tip like you mentioned.

Credit's grasp on society is already menacing.

Need a stable crypto currency.
The slow roll out is going on right now, you know a lot about crypto currency ...it appears the plan is to eventually have the World using some form of crypto in the near future.

Can you imagine a time when everything has become digitalized?

Some crazy stuff ...then imagine if some sort of EMP hit ....uh oh! Things would not be pretty.

I'm not sure if I know a lot about it, but I do understand the technology behind it a lot.

The thing that really needs to happen is user adoption in a stable currency. You can make a cryptocurrency a stable unstable as any Fiat. You can have Banks and Central authorities acting like the Fed.

If a non-country stable cryptocurrency where to be distributed across the entire world with enough nodes, it could not be controlled and it could not be wiped out with an EMP.

Once a networks big enough, the only real Attack on it would be having somebody own a majority of the computers controlling the currency. And that case you can manipulate the entire network and chain.

So you need a really big Network, such as millions of computers. You then need almost Universal adoption.

Finally, the interesting idea about the EMP is that somebody could set up their computers geographically, but not in their own country, and then EMP other areas of the world such that what is left leaves them with a majority of the network.

Again the real fix is to make the network large enough and distributed enough to stop that in the first place.

practicing my hand drill to start fire last 6 days...getting better each day

at Oregon County fair I met a guy who could easily start fire(ember) in 15 seconds or less using hand drill...was amazing...a true fire god IMO

I bought a kit and am training to learn this ancient art...if you met me in an apocalypse you may be blessed with natural fire via human hands

bitcoin is proven isn't it...gambled like 6 or so away and wish I still had them

The technology is proven.

Bitcoin self is highly volatile. You wouldn't want to stick your savings and something that might gain or lose 20% of its value in a day.

There's also some current technical limitations that make it a bad choice for daily transactions like cups of coffee and small things like that.

It is akin to being gold though. Over a long enough timeline it's towards value. And that value should go up mostly. It makes a good Reserve and is highly secure.

There are other ways to make faster transactions and cheaper transactions with the same type of blockchain Technology. That plus stability in value needs to happen for a true distributed non-government non-bank based currency

Probably a lot of them
They don't pay tax on cash transaction. They also don't have to kick up 3% on cash transactions. They will be taxed ojln their 10 grand of "income" they receive from Visa. It's a sucker move to sell out for 10 grand.
