Very impressive performance. He even said he would step for Lombard and fight Rory.
Great performance, the most wrong I've been about a result in a while. Usually I lose a decision call going in but not this wrong. Benson finish was not on my radar. He is all heart and it shows how truly good Pettis is.

Benson can give anyone from 170 and under and some 185ers a challenge and win most of them. I just don't want him to beat Rory lol, but I'd be lying if I said I wasn't very nervous for that fight especially with a full camp. Or two months to make the Montreal card.

If he is going to have a full camp at fight Rory, or anyone else at 170, he may need to bulk up and stay there. He fought great and moved very well, but I just don't see how he would be able to make a serious run at the title if he doesn't cut any weight. Maybe I'm wrong, Edgar done well at his natural weight. I just think it would be tough to always grapple with those bigger, stronger guys. If he is going to go to 170, bulk up and stay there. Going up and down seems like it would really take a toll on his body. He is always exciting and I'll watch him at any weight, but if I could choose, I would say stay at 55 and try get that belt back. I don't think he would do well against the best of the best at 170.
The other thing this shows, is just how good Edgar is for being essentially a weight class up at 155 and taking Benson a guy now with a win at WW (yes BJ too not recent ones though) to a coin toss situation
That was great to watch, reminded me of Pride, Bendo is a beast. Really thought Thatch would finish him RDA style. My favorite moment had to be when Henderson was on the way to the cage and he said fuck it lets find out.
