lol @ the bride not being able to fight temptation and join in on the fun. That was awesome though.

I heard the groom was slightly criticized for being fair-skinned (even though he's apparently got significant Maori blood).

Are white New Zealanders not allowed to do the Haka?

Love it!

What's the forehead/nose touch embrace? Seems very affectionate, is it like a special greeting?

Skin color doesn't matter bro. It's all about the intention.
Generally women don't participate, unless it's in a supporting role - but there are exceptions to this.

Called a hongi, and yeah it is a special greeting.
In addition to pressing noses, the participants share breath (or spirit) so bring your peppermints!

I thought so after watching the one the All Blacks rubgy team did vs France, but I read some comments about this story that said otherwise.

That's really interesting man, thanks for the info!!

I like the duality of the fierceness of the haka and the hongi after it.

Yeah, there are always going to be those who take a hard line or idealist approach to it (you're too white/pakeha to be Maori and haka)... But they are generally dicks with nothing better to get upset about.

With that said, I wasn't too keen on Travis Browne using Ka Mate as part of his walkout music a few fights back.
