Damn, man, it was 25 friggin years ago today (Feb. 1) that Dookie was released! A fucking quarter century has gone by!

Anyway, do you think it was a good album, a crappy album?

This was these were the three most commercially successful releases from the record:

Here's 10 facts about Dookie from Rolling Stone, if you give a shit (or a dookie):

Honestly never cared much for Billie Joe Armstrong, more into offspring. Each to their own.

1992, two years before Dookie. Ignition and Psalm 69 were the two albums I couldn’t get enough of that year. I really didn’t get into offspring much often that. Though I still liked punk I moved pretty heavily into metal from there on but I’ll never forget how fucking awesome ignition was when it came out.

Soundgarden released Superunknown that same year.
So while a lot of people were listening to Offspring I was actually listening to music.

I felt it was over-played, but it was commercially-palatable punk. I didn't think what they were doing was anything particularly interesting or challenging, musically, and I thought Billie was really pretentious. Not my flavor, I was more in to Social Distortion for that kind of music at the time. And RATM for preachy-rock.

Maybe because Zach la Rocha or Mike Ness >> Billie Joe McDouchenozzle.
