This morning I finished this book and I was pretty disappointed. It felt like one long tedious prologue with no real payoff

I've never read the Lord of the Rings trilogy so started that. I'm waiting for the next Dungeon Crawler Carl and the next book in Brandon Sanderson's Way of Kings series.

Reading (listening to) a book called pawn. It's the 3rd in the series.traitor and betrayal were first.

It's about some weird shit and alternate universes and shit.

Don't bother with it. I only put it on if I can't sleep.

So, from like 17 to 21 i read a fuck load of the classics. But it was mostly so smart chicks would fuck me, i retained very little. Im doubling back at 42. Just finished Alice in wonderland and about 50 pages into Gatsby. Kinda crazy how relevant it is today, still

I just finished '4000 Weeks: Time Management For Mortals'. -
View: https://www.amazon.com/Four-Thousand-Weeks-Management-Mortals/dp/0374159122

" Drawing on the insights of both ancient and contemporary philosophers, psychologists, and spiritual teachers, Oliver Burkeman delivers an entertaining, humorous, practical, and ultimately profound guide to time and time management. Rejecting the futile modern fixation on “getting everything done,” Four Thousand Weeks introduces readers to tools for constructing a meaningful life by embracing finitude, showing how many of the unhelpful ways we’ve come to think about time aren’t inescapable, unchanging truths, but choices we’ve made as individuals and as a society―and that we could do things differently."

It's a great read for anyone with a corporate gig or a family who feels like you have to frantically fill each second with something 'productive'.

Helped me reinforce the need for me to fucking relax a little and not lose my shit if I didn't have something specific planned for a Saturday, or if I found myself just sitting on the couch watching a movie after work...

I believe it's called the Secret History of the CIA but it's a great read about how fucked up they are.

Lewis Carroll was a big time pedophile. They even named a "holiday" after the character of his book.
