My wife lost her job in the summer, so things have been tight for us this year. Therefore, we had to do Christmas on a budget. Here's what I got my wife:

UofL pullover, UofL shirt, UofL socks
2 pairs of running shorts & 2 workout t-shirts
Cabin Socks (she loves comfy socks)
Visa gift card, so she can go get herself something I missed :)
Mace for her purse - she is out a lot with our kids at night
Willow Tree figurine - Christmas tradition - 13th year I've gotten her one
Sephora lip liner...or something like that. My daughter text me what to get.
2 Pandora bracelet charms - "Loving Mom" heart & dangling winter mittens
Electric Griddle - ours shit the bed and she wanted a new one.
Stocking Stuffers: Starbucks gift card, Dunkin Donuts giftcard, office supply stuff (pens, 2016 calendar, etc)

12 year old daughter - I can't remember everything, but I got her a few things special (from dad)
Kids Study Bible - it's supposed to be the cool kind for pre-teen girlz
Spirit Of Texas cheerleading t-shirt & sweatshirt (got this when I was in Dallas on business)
A book for pre-teen girls -about their body changing, dealing w/ drama at school, emotions, etc.
My wife did the rest of her shopping. Things I can remember: North Face pullover (on sale lol), Vera Bradley purse (on sale), make-up, jeans. All this stuff at the outlets here.

17 year old step-daughter - again, cant remember everything, but I got her a few special things (from step-dad)
Teenage Study Bible w/ Giant Text - she has low vision, so this should help her.
A book about dealing w/ teenage girl stuff...emotions, boys, drama at school (shes a Jr), etc.
Spirit of Texas t-shirt
Starbucks and Subway gift cards

So what are you all getting your loved ones? I hope everyone has a very Merry Christmas, and is able to enjoy it with friends and family. This is my favorite time of the year.

My siblings and I bought a freezer for my parents since the one they had is older than I am, and they actually liked it. I thought for sure, they'd return it.

I picked up a fishing pole for my cousin's seven year old. He loved it.

Another one of my cousins and I put up railings on the front steps of his pregnant sister's house. They get pretty icy and her husband has been pretty busy with work trying to make extra money to get ready for the baby.

Good for you. You took the spirit of the season and really made it something special.

I think that we don't need to spend a lot of money to really get people great gifts.

Same to you.

You've got the right idea of what the seasons should be about, in my opinion.

I'm terrible to buy for because I don't want for much. What I did a few years ago was tell everyone to get me "Canadian Tire" money. (It's a Canadian thing)

It's really not worth much but I love that store and when people give it to me I know they really thought about the gift and they know I really like it.
