oops wrong one

Solid effort. Dude is good.

Although I did LOL @ the completely unnecessary "over the top of the fret board" technique he used for parts of the song. I guess that looks cooler. Great cover though.

Jimi made a thing playing a guitar upside down, but he strung it the normal way so while it looked weird he wasn't really playing any differently than anyone else. There are rumors that he could play a guitar upside down and did on a few occasions, but that typically wasn't what he was doing.

But this guy - Eric Gales - can jam. He's a lefty with a guitar flipped. And these strings ARE upside down. He's playing a righty guitar as a lefty...
My brain hurts just thinking of how to pull that off to this level of awesomeness...

I just read up on him. He's been around a bit.

He started playing a righty guitar as a lefty when he was 4. By the time he learned he was playing it upside down it was too late to change.

Elizabeth Cotton played an upside down guitar too. She may be one of the first? Blows my mind with the finger style stuff - she played the bass parts with fingers, and melody with the thumb. Totally backwards for me!

Classic song of hers:
