I sing this with my 2 yo all the time, since she was weeks old.

The other day she pulled out a chair and her toy guitar, sat down, and started plucking strings and singing. with Emphasis. lol.

i've seen the movie hundreds of times, but just found out that the guy banging the cup on the table at 1:03 is Joe Walsh.
There's also a rumor that Joe played the lead on Gimmee Some Lovin' because Murphy and Cropper weren't available to record when Belushi was...so Joe picked up his guitar and cut the track.

Saw this guy on Saturday. He was part of a festival booking (I was there to see The Steel Woods, who kicked ass as usual).

Never heard of him before. Very good stuff - love the retro feel on his songs...

My wife and I saw JD 5ish years ago, which was probably close to when he was just breaking out and getting somewhat popular. It was a great show, love the throwback style. The opening band for that show was called The Cactus Blossoms, which was also a retro kinda of thing but was a lot more like the Everly Brothers style (two guys, two guitars, harmonizing vocals).

I haven’t kept up with JD, but I enjoyed his first album quite a bit.

Hauler @Hauler
This is the band I mentioned above that opened for JD. They were also great live. I think you’ll see what I mean when I said it sounds like the Everly Brothers kind of thing. Between them and JD, the whole show was a cool throwback.

megatherium @Megaterio Llamas you may also dig this.
Great harmony, even a cool guitar solo. Very cool.

They kind of remind me of ex Cowsill's group member Billy Cowsill's local band The Blue Shadows that used to perform regularly at my local pub in the 90s, The Rusty Gull.

Back in the 90s I was in to shows like Uncle Tupelo, Blue Mountain, etc., and the Blue Shadows would’ve fit right into that. However, a bar called “The Rusty Gull” would have given me reservations lol. It’s a suggestive name full of innuendo :D

Kind of like the Blue Oyster in the Police Academy movie haha.
